Hello all,
We are back from a very busy, but hopefully, successful Toy Fair in New York.
The show was loaded with lots of new and exciting things, and as always, I love going to learn about the toys we already stock.
The show was very busy and the vendors were plentiful, both good signs of things to come in the toy world.
Oddly enough, the biggest trend of 2013 (and everyone has something in this theme) is........
MUSTACHES!
We ordered tattoos, plush and sunglasses, just to name a few of the toys that are mustache themed.
Lay & Go is going to be BIG- it answers the life-long question of "where do I store Lego's"?
Force Flyers might just be the next big thing in the world of RC. They are a NASA designed remote controlled cars and helicopters that you control by wearing and moving a glove...so cool!
We found great new things that will be arriving anywhere from next week into fourth quarter, be sure to stop in our store so we can tell you all bout the Show!

February 2013 (Toy Fair)
Heading to Toy Fair again...
It's that time of year when we all venture to NYC and check out all the exciting happenings at the International Toy Fair. This is a great time for us to recharge our batteries! The Fair offers us, as toy buyers, many insider benefits. First, it allows us to develop relationships wiht our reps and vendors so when we need "special orders" for our customers, they are much more willing to accomidate. Second, we get to see, and by see I mean touch and feel, all the toys. This is very helpful because most of the time, the products are much cooler than the box would have you believe. This is most helpful with games. Playing games is the only way to truly understand and be able to explain to the customer how they work and what age they are appropriate for. The "game" aisles of the Fair are where we spend a good majority of our time. Finally, this is where we can find all the unique, small company products that are new or undiscovered as of yet. We look at everything to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. We are hoping that the 2013 Toy Fair doesn't dissappoint. We can not wait to tell you about it when we get back.
Just a reminder...Pun's will be closed Monday, Feb. 11th
