Pun's Toys- Back from TOY FAIR

We are back from the biggest toy show in the country, the New York International Toy Fair.
WOW! That is all I can say about this years show.

It is pretty amazing to see all of our toy vendors (and many others) all displaying product at one time in one huge place. We make a habit out of walking the entire show to make sure we don't miss anything, then we go back and buy the newest and coolest things we saw.
This year, we believe we found many great new items to be relaesed at various times throughout the year and many great products shipping ASAP.

The unanimous best product we saw at the show was from a new company called High-Tec.
The product is a newer, modern version of the classic light-bright but without any limitations and LED bulbs. We have a sample to show, and are taking pre-orders. The item will be available shortly.

Also, we are very excited about a little front counter item called
"Stikeez" by Zing.
Very cute, little collectible suction cup animals that stick on just about everything. There are 30 different styles in this collection.
Great for party favors or stocking stuffers.

Summer is officially OVER! Sorry...
Hope everyone had a great one, but now with the weather changing, several things come to mind.
1. Birthday season is upon us and we are ready to get you in, wrapped, and on your way to the party.

We here at Pun's have been busy.
Over the last few weeks, we have completely stocked the store from top to bottom. Over 1000 boxes have been priced and displayed.
We have all the great toys, new and classic-favorites alike, from all of our incredible vendors.

- The brand new Playmobil Egyptian Sets have been selling like crazy. The Pyramid is the most detailed set in recent memory, plus the Sphinx and Ship really are a great compliment for any creative child's playroom.

- The Dress-Up section is reloaded, ready for everyday imaginative play and, of course, Halloween. Boys and Girls outfits range from Princesses and Fairies to Knights and Pirates and many many more. Loads of accessories as well.

- The Science Area has been stocked to the rafters with new and exciting kits and projects to bring some fascination and wonder into your home. Scientific Explorer and Toysmith make it easy for your child to bring these exciting experiments to life.

- The shipment of Stuffed Animals was so large that they didn't fit on the shelves up front, so we had to expand them into the window display. More in stock now than ever before. Quite a sight to see, so many different types of animals and nearly every breed of dog.

Springtime is upon us (even though the weather isn’t cooperating) and with that brings a whole new season of toys.
Here at Pun’s, we are stocking the shelves with lots of outdoor and active items, as well as games, puzzles and building toys for those rainy days.

*First, Sasha Azar and his company NOASHA have developed what we here at Pun’s believe will be the next hot craze for kids 6 and up.
They are called:
WARBLES !!!!
Every Warble is individually crafted using cutting-edge laser and computer technology. High-powered, microscopic lasers are used to morph and etch thousands of tiny glass particles inside glass marbles to create a unique optic effect that becomes a Warble.
These are just a few of the characters. Come summer time, each Warble will be packaged with its own lighting pod and a comic book. They are $6.99 and we currently stock the first production run (limited editions) that will not be available when the new packaging arrives.

So March is here, and maybe not the best kickoff for the hopes of Spring to arrive early.

This toy RC UFO is AWESOME!!!!! Distributed from the Westminster Co., the tiny UFO flies all over your house. It does use an infrared beam, so it is for indoor use only. The charger needs 8 "AA" batteries (they last for many charges) and you control the height by sliding the knob up and down the remote controller. The UFO has flashing LED lights which make it cool to fly in the dark. The product is $29.99, and they are selling very fast. Stop in and check out the display in the back.

In the toy world, it is difficult to come across a great toy that is functional, safe, and age appropriate for a 2 year old. A great find at the NYC Gift Show this summer was the line of pop-up photo albums from Goffengel Workshop. These are the next generation in photo albums, with each page having a main, center pop-up feature, along with several smaller pop-ups around the edges. There are three different styles that we stock: The Baby Photo Album, Rocket to Pluto (geared more for boys), and Fairytale Dreams (for the girls). We here at Pun's do not have "Halloween" costumes, per say. We do not carry Power Ranger, Batman, Superman, or Disney Princess outfits specifically. In keeping with our vision of letting children use there imaginations, we stock (all year round) a wide variety of "Dress-Up" clothes. We have things for boys and girls to transform themselves into anything from a fairy princess to an astronaut to a witch to a superhero.
